Tiphany Adams is a fitness coach, speaker and model from California. She is also a determined woman who’s been aiming to change the world since being injured in a car accident at the age of 17. She wants to change the way people with disabilities are perceived and she’s been using the media in it’s many forms to make that happen. Read on for her story.
Why She’s Fearless
Born and raised in the small town of Lodi, California, Tiphany’s days as a teen came to a sudden halt after her injury, a car accident. After high school, she decided to move to Los Angeles to jumpstart her life and begin her goal of changing how people with disabilities are viewed. Fortunately, she met Angela Rockwood, an actress and quadriplegic, soon after moving to LA.
The two were roommates, and then an exciting opportunity befell — the Sundance channel wanted to cast them in reality show called Push Girls. This show had two seasons and was on-air from 2012 to 2013. Not only did the show feature Tiphany and Angela, it starred Mia, another paraplegic, and Chelsie Hill, a newly injured paraplegic.
Push Girls was groundbreaking in that it was the only reality show at that time, and since, that focused on the lives of women who use wheelchairs. After the show ended, Tiphany decided to dedicate her life to fitness and holistic health, which she does till this day. She is a fitness coach (online and in person) and a motivational speaker, sharing her wellness advice with the world.
