Meet Kristen, a patient at our International Center for Spinal Cord Injury, who became paralyzed following an blood infection. Through a family friend, Kristen found Kennedy Krieger and has been traveling back and forth between Tennessee and Baltimore for the past year to receive world-class rehabilitative care. Over the course of her time at Kennedy Krieger, Kristen has made great strides toward independence and walking, and she even participated in the Baltimore Running Festival's 5K! Kristen's family represents just one of the more than 24,000 patients and families from all over the U.S. and the world whom we serve each year.
With more than 20 locations located in Maryland, the non-profit Kennedy Krieger Institute has been providing specialized research and healthcare services to children and families for more than 75 years.
