Ceftriaxone is what IV Antibiotic i'm taking for the Infections. Lidocaine is what the Nurses would spread on my skin about 1/2 before they would try to stick me with needles to attempt to draw my blood. The Lidocaine would help a little(not with the initial prick) but the eventual moving around that the Nurse's would have to do to find my vein. Having my Wife there to hold my hand & reassure me was also extremely Helpful when the Nurse's would need to draw my blood a few times at least every 12 hours.
I'm paraplegic(20+ years in a wheelchair) with Website , , , & . Many of the things i do are either done wrong or incorrectly. Doing things the incorrect way is probably what made me paraplegic in the first place. Even though they are probably not correct, i hope my video gives you an idea you might possibly be able to do safely & correctly yourself. Follow these videos at your own risk :)
