Infinite Art Museum Special Collections are custom levels in the IAM that focus on the work of one artist. These collections either showcase a large collection of work or reproduce an installation at a traditional gallery.
We are excited to share our first Special Collection - a VR debut of:
Living with Spinal Cord Injury
"Living with Spinal Cord Injury" is an exciting and important art exhibition launching on April 18th 2019. It will run through to June at Stoke Mandeville's National Spinal Injuries Center (NSIC) in Buckinghamshire in the UK - the birthplace of the Paralympics.
Davey loves the anatomical drawings crafted by Leonardo Da Vinci. As he understands, this inspired Jean-Michel Basquiat (another hero of his) to create his artwork. Today they inspired Davey to create his “Living with Spinal Cord Injury” series. The series is also inspired by X-rays Davey had seen of his own body throughout the years.
On the launch day, Davey will be leading a group of patients, family, doctors and staff to create a large “community canvas” painting - 40 by 68 inches - and use art to explore the challenges and possibilities of living with spinal cord injury.
