SPINALpedia eBook #1: SCI Superstars

We’re excited to debut our very first SPINALpedia eBook! eBooks provide an unique opportunity to share information online in a literary format, and our first eBook is inspired by our longtime popular blog series – SCI Superstars. SCI Superstars are rock stars in the SCI community; people with paralysis who are taking names and making waves.

In this eBook, you will find ten past profiles that have touched thousands, including Sam Schmidt, a C2 quad who drives a Corvette with his head, Jordan Bone, a C6 quad British makeup blogger and Jen Goodwin, a lawyer, single mom and quadriplegic. Each eBook is 30 pages. View our first eBook, SCI Superstars, here.

Spinalpedia’s 2018 Spring Photo Contest!

We love photography at Spinalpedia! So much can be said in a single image. And when you combine Springtime with disability, the photos that represent this season and group of humans can be quite extraordinary. We received three powerful submissions to our Spring Photo Contest this year! Thank you to Arimura, Jenna and Nube.

UPDATE 5/4/2018: Congrats to Jenna and her Dad! They won our Spring Photo Contest this year!

1. Arimura: A spring stroll amongst the daffodils, without falling off the path, in Sakushima Japan.

2. Jenna: Nothing like the love between a Daddy and his daughter! Spring is here.

3. Nube: Holding my brand new puppy this Spring.
